My Unique

Path

My path to college wasn't a straight line—and that’s exactly what makes me such a compassionate and insightful guide for students. My six-year journey began at a community college and took me through two four-year universities. Along the way, I wrestled with choosing the right major and struggled to find a college that truly fit.

Things finally came together at Northern Arizona University. With its smaller, mountain campus and hands-on learning opportunities, I found the environment where I could thrive.

Now, I use my journey to help students avoid the same detours. My firsthand experience gives me a deep understanding of the challenges teens face—and the wisdom to help them make confident, informed choices about their own path.

I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling and earned a College Admissions and Career Planning Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley.

I work with students from diverse academic environments from all over the country. As a parent of two children in Livermore school district, I have a unique perspective of Livemore curriculum, faculty, and administration, but also work with students from California to Maine and everywhere in between!

I am an active member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC). Through these professional affiliations, I regularly volunteer on committees, attend conferences, collaborate with colleagues, and visit college campuses to stay current with trends in higher education and admissions.
